Skating instruction for mature students... This beginning and intermediate level class is designed for mature students who would rather learn with other adults. Skaters may use the traditional quad skate or inlines. LESSONS INCLUDE: How to start and stop skating, balancing on skates, getting the skates to roll, gliding, cornering, falling and getting back up, scissors, beginning turning and backward skating. Indoor classes are held at Skate Plaza Family Entertainment Center (located 1.5 miles north of I-90 on Highway 95 at Dalton in Coeur d'Alene). The cost is $5.00 per class, including the use of Skate Plaza's rental skates if needed. Instruction is provided by Sara Stinnett. Certified by USA Roller Sports, the national governing body of competitive roller skating, Sara has been coaching for 25 years. Presently, there is not a specifically Adult Class in session. Adults may attend the Fundamentals or Intermediate Class on Saturday mornings which are for all ages*. Plan to fill out a Student Information / Liability Release Form the first time you come to class. 7-3-2008 Sara moved to New York.
