This class gets you started so your skating experiences will be
fun and more safe. This is really the beginning basics of roller skating. Skaters may use the traditional quad
skate or inlines. LESSONS INCLUDE: How to start and stop skating, balancing
on skates, getting the skates to roll, cornering, falling and getting back up, "Cars", "Shoot the
Duck", the Limbo and more.
Saturday mornings* at Skate Plaza Family Entertainment Center (located 1.5 miles north of I-90 on Highway 95
at Dalton in Coeur d'Alene). The cost is $5.00 per class, including the use of Skate Plaza's rental skates if needed.
Instruction is provided by Sara
Stinnett. Certified by USA Roller Sports, the national governing body of competitive roller skating, Sara has been
coaching for 25 years. Occasionally the class is rescheduled because Sara travels with the competitive team. Please
call ahead to verify the class day, or check here for the monthly schedule, updated below. Plan to fill out a Student
Information / Liability Release Form the first time you come to class. If you are sending your child without their
own parent, you may print out the Enrollment Form to send with them.

There will be Saturday classes on all Saturdays in May.
Arrive at Skate Plaza before 9:30am, because we can go
on the skating floor at 9:30.
I need to be done checking in skaters and handing out skates by 9:45
to begin teaching the classes promptly at 9:45.
Fundamentals Class instruction begins at 9:45-10:15,
Intermediate Class 10:15-10:45
Students can practice during the other class time.
